Tutorial: Planyo set-up (3 / 3)

Tutorial Table of Contents

part 1: Adding a new planyo site
part 2: Adding a new resource
part 3: Setting site properties
Part 3 of 3: Setting site properties
Now that we took care of the court settings, let's specify the global settings for the whole site (tennis club). After editing resource settings we are taken back to the site settings. You can also go directly to site settings using the settings tab or the quick links dropdown.

The site settings are rather clear. Other than company details, address etc. you can specify if you'd like to be able to accept online payments (with either a credit card or a PayPal account) using your planyo site. If you do, you'll need to enter your PayPal registered email address (in the future more payment options will be supported). Please note that planyo does not charge any fees for online payments. Other than the site settings, in this tab you can add new resources (as we've already done) or new products. In the case of our courts we will not need any products. In other cases (site types), additional products can be either extra charges always added to the bill (such as visitor's taxes or final cleaning) or one-time optional products or services (such as airport pick-up, water skis for motorboat rentals, etc.), or recurring products (such as breakfast). Fig 7. Site settings - actions

The action buttons allow you to specify additional site settings or perform actions related to it - many of the actions are similar to the resource actions:

Fig 8. Notification settings

Here you can specify who receives standard planyo messages, when, and by which means (email/fax/sms). Please note that fax and sms notifications are only available for planyo PRO sites and require an additional payment. Please note that if you specify custom messages, e.g. when a new reservation is made or when a reservation gets confirmed, you may want to stop the standard planyo messages from being sent for the same event. This way the clients will only receive one (customized) email.
