Allow customers to schedule an online Zoom meeting
Video transcript: In this planyo tutorial we'll show how to
set up a project allowing customers to
schedule an introductory consultation
with a staff member.
First let's create a planyo account.
Now let's create a new planyo site.
Add
your site name
then choose your account type.
You can
choose from the fixed fee PRO account or
the commission based PRO-COMM account.
We are going to select the site category
appointments with staff members.
You can integrate with Zoom, Google Meet
and Microsoft Teams.
For this demo we will use the
Zoom
integration.
You can make the reservation form more
compact by deselecting the fields you
won't need.
Later on you'll be able to fully
customize this.
We are landing on the
quick setup page
where you can find the most important
configuration steps.
We integrate with more than 70 payment
gateways but for this demo we won't use
online payments
and we go with automatic confirmation of
reservations.
Let's set the name and description of
the bookable resource.
Let's click time-related settings and
set up the duration of the call and the
working hours.
In this demo we will use a fixed
duration of 30 minutes.
If you need a pause between consecutive
meetings then set up minimum
time between consecutive rentals.
Finally let's set up the Zoom
integration.
Click on the link to enable access to
your Zoom account and sign into your
Zoom account.
After enabling access to your account
you end up on the integration setup page.
Set the export type to new individual
meeting in order to create one-on-one
meetings.
Select the status required for creation
of a zoom meeting.
You can manage the default settings of
your meeting
once the zoom setup is done.
Let's go
back to the planyo back end and test the
process as a customer.
You can easily embed the reservation
form into your website but here we'll
use a simple link.
Select an available time, then fill out the form.
You can fully
customize the booking form if you need
other information from the customer.
Since in this demo we used automatic
confirmation we directly go to the
confirmation page with the zoom links.
This information will be also sent in an
email notification.
