FAQ Q385: Can I move the Planyo plugin to a different URL?

Seksjon: Integration with my website
Yes, you can do this. Note that for all new reservations, Planyo stores the individual URL of the advanced integration location (the page which includes the Planyo plugin) which means that when the customer performs any post-reservation tasks, e.g. modifies their reservation or adds products, the links generated for them will always use the original URL. For reservations entered by the admins, Planyo uses the URL entered in the setting URL of the reservation page on your website in integration settings.

The problem occurs when the original URL no longer works because you move the page to a new location. In such case you should go to integration settings and change the option URL of the reservation page on your website. Then you should click the button Clear origin url from all existing reservations just below this setting. This will clear the original location from all existing reservations, so any links newly generated for them (e.g. in email notifications) will use the new URL.

The only remaining issue is with customers who already have received email notifications with the old URL which will no longer work. If this is an issue you come across, the only possible solution is for you to implement a redirect from the original location to the new one. Make sure all the URL parameters are also forwarded to the new URL as Planyo uses URL parameters to show the correct context in the Planyo plugin's area of the page.
